I am the happily married wife of my love, Bob, and the mother of five great kids. I was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom until my youngest child was in school full time. We live in an attractive city of around 3,000 people, and we love small town living.
Currently I am the office manager for a local chiropractic office. Although in my heart I would still prefer to be at home, it is undeniable that God supplied my current job, and I honestly can't think of a better work situation. I love my bosses and coworkers, I have flexibility with my schedule, and the office is only three blocks from my home. I started the same time that a new young doctor and his wife took over the business, and I have accompanied them through the journey of building a business together and watched their family grow as well. :)
My family is very involved in our small local church: Bob is frequently on the deacon board, helps run the sound booth, is a song leader and Sunday school teacher; I also teach Sunday School and Children's Church, work in the nursery, and often hold one or another other church office; all of our kids have taken piano lessons, and our older daughters are currently the pianists for our church; the older girls are gaining some experience teaching Children's Church, and they work in the nursery; our son is learning how to be an usher during the offering; and our entire family cleans the church building each week.
I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, gardening, and physical recreation, but my current passion is sharing the hope of better ways to treat cancer along with my hope in Christ.
